GOING ON THIS TRIP
Sign Up! – Closes 7pm the Wednesday prior to the trip departure date
Upon receiving your sign up the Club Guide will email you back with the following:
– provide an outline of the trip and what to expect;
– allocate/recommend specific gear to everyone in the group;
– if relevant, ask further questions about your experience or fitness.
Pay Up! – The trip leader will confirm the fee, how to pay it and by when. The trip fee is only refunded if the Chief Guide or Club Guide cancel the trip due to weather or exceptional circumstances.
Pack Up! Check out the gear list to make sure you have everything you need. In particular:
- bring warm and waterproof layers, as well as good boots;
- make sure you bring a groundsheet, sleeping mat and emergency blanket;
- your own breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks;
- about 2L of water for overnight tramps;
Club trips are not guided tours, and you are responsible for your own safety. Part of this is listening to the Club Guides who volunteer to ensure everyone gets in and out of the backcountry safely.
The information that we are asking you to provide is needed by the trip leader primarily for safety purposes and will be stored confidentially.
